Winner Announcement
It has been three years since Paanduv Applications was established. In order to introduce computational modeling deep into academia and promote reliance on Open-Source software last year we launched International Simulation Olympiad. This spectacular global event brought together talented individuals from around the world. This event showcased the extraordinary skills of our participants.
We promised to announce the winners of this event on our founding day i.e. August 26. We officially announce the winners of the first International Simulation Olympiad 2023 are Team Rogue Simulators Cranfield University and Team JSV Trio from IIT Bhubaneswar.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every participant and supporter who made this event a grand success. Your enthusiasm and commitment have added immense value to our anniversary celebrations.
As we embark on the journey ahead, we remain steadfast in our dedication to delivering cutting-edge solutions, unparalleled service, and fostering an environment that encourages innovation and growth. The next chapter of Paanduv promises to be even more remarkable, and we invite you to join us in shaping a future that knows no limits.

Live Problem Statement
Choose any one problem
International Simulation Olympiad™ (ISimO) is an online global olympiad to promote and celebrate the excellent computational (simulation) engineering happening in academia around the world, using open-source software. ISimO, organized by Paanduv Applications, invites all students (bachelor level, master level, or PhDs) to register for the event on an individual basis or in teams. Applicants can be full-time registered students at any academic institute.
Because computational engineering is applicable to a wide range of industries, applicants can select one from a list of problem statements. Broadly, the problems will be categorized into three categories: Multiphase flows, Aerodynamics, and Thermal Engineering. Students from mechanical, aerospace, thermal sciences, civil, chemical, electrical, electronics, materials, applied mechanics, mathematics, physics, chemistry, ocean, material science, additive manufacturing, health sciences, mining, and other backgrounds are welcome to register. The difficulty level of each problem will be intermediate level, will involve the validation of experimental data using computational modeling, and will be evaluated based on many or all of the 8-point evaluation criteria described below. The panel of judges will include computational engineering experts.
The winner of the ISimO 2023 will be declared on Aug 26, 2024.
In addition to the ISimO certificate, a total prize amount of USD 1500 (INR 125000) will be shared between the top three teams.
Please read the ISimO guidelines and evaluation criteria before registering for the event.

Fee Structure
Guidelines
Full-time registered students from any university can participate
Each team can have 1-3 participants
Each team must have participants from the same university
The entry fee for the entire team is a nominal INR 295 for students studying at Indian Universities. This fee will be deducted for the attendees of hands-on industry-specific workshops by Paanduv.
The entry fee for the entire team is a nominal USD/EUR/GBP 48 for students at universities outside India. This fee will be deducted for the attendees of hands-on industry-specific workshops by Paanduv.
Registration fees will not be refunded.
Only the submissions that utilize end-to-end open-source software for preprocessing, solver, and post-processing will be entertained. The use of Linux is even better.
As OpenFOAM is a widely used CFD software among users, all problems must be simulated using OpenFOAM version 6 or higher.
Use of the internet and human resources is acceptable while solving the problem, however, as an honor code the final submission must be your team’s original work
Late submissions will not be entertained
Incomprehensible submissions will not be evaluated
Submissions can be made in English, Hindi, Spanish, or French. If you choose to submit in any other language, we will still entertain your submission
The prize money will be transferred online or an equivalent item such as a high-performance computer will be sent via delivery
All the participants will be provided a participation certificate
